SELLER POLICY
Effective from January 2026
1. Eligibility to Sell
Any individual or registered business based in Eswatini, South Africa, or the wider SADC region may apply to sell on Zumbu Africa. You must be at least 18 years old and provide accurate contact and payment details during registration.
2. Approved Listings
All listings must accurately describe the product including condition, specifications, and images. Zumbu Africa reserves the right to remove any listing that is misleading, incomplete, or violates these guidelines. You may not list:
- Counterfeit or infringing products
- Illegal or regulated items (weapons, narcotics, etc.)
- Items you do not own or have the right to sell
- Stolen goods
- Adult or explicit content
3. Pricing and Fees
Sellers are responsible for setting their own prices inclusive of VAT where applicable. Zumbu Africa charges a platform commission on each successful transaction. Current commission rates are displayed in your seller dashboard and may be updated with 30 days' notice.
4. Order Fulfilment
Sellers must dispatch orders within the processing time stated on their listing (maximum 5 business days). You are responsible for packaging goods securely to prevent damage in transit. Failure to fulfil orders on time may result in account warnings or suspension.
5. Returns and Refunds
Sellers must honour Zumbu Africa's platform-wide Returns Policy. Sellers may set more lenient (but not stricter) return conditions. When a return is approved, the refund is deducted from the seller's balance or next payout.
6. Seller Payouts
Funds are held for a short clearing period (typically 3–5 business days after delivery confirmation) before being released to your payout account. Payouts are processed via MojaPay or EFT to a valid local bank account.
7. Communication with Buyers
All buyer–seller communication must remain within the Zumbu Africa platform. You may not solicit buyers to transact outside of Zumbu Africa, share personal contact details, or send spam or promotional messages outside of order-related queries.
8. Ratings and Reviews
Do not attempt to manipulate your seller rating through fake reviews, incentivised purchases, or harassing buyers. Genuine negative reviews will not be removed unless they violate our community standards.
9. Account Suspension
Accounts may be suspended or permanently banned for repeated policy violations, high dispute rates, or fraudulent activity. Funds held at the time of suspension will be reviewed and disbursed after any outstanding claims are resolved.
